Dear hearts,
Wherever this finds you, I'm grateful that you're on the receiving end of these Hobo Travelogues. As long-term subscribers know, I usually try to send 'em out once a month or so, to toot the horn about upcoming shows and relate a few stories from the last month or so of roads. But the pace of travel this year really hasn't left much time for storytelling, and I don't see any big gaps on the horizon either. So I figured I'd just send out a quick blast from the ferry across Kootenay Lake – en route to our second of three Kootenay house concerts – to let you know that I'm out in the world, revelling in forest smells and reminders of road trips past, enjoying the superb company of Pamela Mae and our cooperative chariot Roadetta, and hopefully en route to a town near you. Failing that, it'd also be sweet if we're on our way to a town near your friends, in which case we'd be grateful for you sending them our way. Here's the lay of the land ahead:

As always, all the dates and deets are on www.scottcook.net, and everything we've got booked will be there as soon as it's publicly announced.
This list sure is a long look ahead, but I don't know when I'm gonna get to sending out another Hobo Travelogue anytime soon. I may just have to try and sum up the whole year of roads – from Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand and Australia on through Appalachia, Texas, the North Country Fair, and now the verdant Pacific Northwest – from the vantage point of home come fall.
I have been a little better about keeping my Fellow Travellers updated over on Patreon, where I'm still serving up a new song every month including June's song "From Here on the Curve," which I suspect may be one I'm still singing years from now. You can join the ranks of Fellow Travellers at whatever rate feels right for you on www.patreon.com/scottcooksongs or over at www.scottcook.net/fellow-travellers for those who prefer to cut out the in-between.
If you've got a place in mind we should play, either along our way across Turtle Island this summer and fall, or in Australia in the new year, please do drop a line to scottcooksongs@gmail.com and hopefully we can work out a stop.
As always, it's a strange and surprising world out here, replete with cruelty and also kindness. Stay safe, stay sane, and stay inspired, this place needs more like you.
Love,
s
