I've just released my seventh "love letter to the world," consisting of a twelve-track album and a 240-page book. It's the most ambitious thing I've ever done, and I think it's my best work yet. The album was recorded in Australia with an intercontinental stringband including Liz Frencham, Bramwell Park, Esther Henderson, Kat Mear, Pete Fidler, and other trusty shipmates from both sides of the ocean. The accompanying hardcover book dives deep into some life events from the past few years, and how I've seen my own personal crises and struggles mirrored in the wider world. It feels pretty timely.
The book's available with vinyl, CD, or download code. If you're in Canada and only want the book with a download code, you can e-transfer $30 to scottcooksongs@gmail.com to skip the shipping charges. If you're in Edmonton, I'll deliver CDs for $30 or vinyl for $40. I can take cheques at 10134 88 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5H 1P1, and I'm happy to offer bulk deals if you want a few copies, just drop a line!
