I'm releasing my eighth “love letter to the world” August 21st! I'm ready to start taking pre-orders, but it needs a bit of explanation 'cause it's complicated. As you probably know, I get a bit carried away with liner notes. Plenty of folks at shows joked that my next album would be a set of encyclopedias, and as it turns out, they weren't too far off — Troubadourly Yours is a project in two volumes. First comes the album itself, in one of two formats:

• a ten-track CD inside a 72-page cloth-bound hardcover book containing the words and chords to the songs and an introductory essay.

• a ten-track 150gm vinyl with a 20-page booklet containing all the same text plus a couple extra pictures.

Later this fall I'll be releasing the second volume, also in two formats: a 300-page cloth-bound hardcover book with a QR download code in the back, and an audiobook of the same text read by me. The bigger book won't contain the words, chords, or essay from the album packages – it's a standalone book, with a chapter dedicated to the topic of each song on the album. I won't start taking orders for the bigger book until it's closer to completion, but the CDs and vinyl are ready to go!

The CD costs $20, and shipping is $10 in Canada, $15 to the US and Australia, and $25 elsewhere in the world.

I've also found a few copies of my first three albums (Long Way to Wander, This One's On the House, and Moonlit Rambles), which have been out of print for years, and I'm making them available for $15 each, first-come, first-serve, to folks who pre-order the new album.

If you're in Edmonton, I'll deliver the CD on my bike for $25 and the vinyl for $35, to save you a bit of money and get me a bit of exercise!
