Hobo Howdy-logue, Apr 2, 2024: surfacing to let you know we're livestreaming from Candelo!

    Hey friends,

If you're new to this list, welcome aboard!

If you've been on here a while, you know these Hobo Travelogues usually involve a meandering tale of my past month's rambles, and you'll be completely unaccustomed to anything like brevity from me. But for now, alas, I've got some news to share and no time to tell stories.

We're livestreaming from Candelo, New South Wales in twelve hours' time – I'd say “tomorrow” but it'll be today for those of you in the Western Hemisphere, which just gets confusing – and we've got some heavy hitters on board: Melanie Horsnell, David Ross MacDonald, and Robyn Martin, all of whom live in the tiny, disproportionally-talented town of Candelo, New South Wales. We'd love it if you'd join us. We'll be going out over either of my Facebook pages, and on YouTube here at our usual time, 5:55 Mountain Time the first Tuesday of the month. That'll actually be 10:55am on Wednesday here in the Bega Valley –– as I said, it's confusing. You can find your time zone here to save your precious mind space for more inspiring things.

I've got lots of stuff I wanna tell you, like how we've suddenly become Australian homeowners (his name's Hector, and he's a 2003 Toyota Hiace), the cool stuff we got up to at the National Folk Festival this past weekend (videos coming soon), our summer plans for back home, and some of the twists and turns along our Aussie adventure so far, but it's all been unrolling so fast I haven't had time to write about it. I'll make an effort to get started this week.

In the meantime, if you've got friends in New South Wales or Queensland that might enjoy the songs, we'd love to meet them! Our remaining dates are:
